Zafar Alam recently has been joined as the new Additional Managing Director of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited. Prior to his joining at the Bank, he had been working as the Deputy Managing Director of Social Islami Bank Limited, said a press release.
Zafar Alam started his career with “Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited” in 1992 as a Probationary Officer. He has vast experience in his long 27 years Banking career having expertise in diversified field of banking. He held very important position in Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited and the last position being Senior Executive Vice-President and Chief Human Resources Officer. He obtained the Diploma in Islamic Banking from the Islami Bank Training and Research Academy (IBTRA). In his entire career he attended many Seminars and Symposiums on banking which includes Business Plan, Raising Standard of Customer Service, Sales and Distribution, International Trade, Technological Development and Investment. For training and professional requirement, he visited many foreign countries’ including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and UAE.
