After his father Yograj Singh’s emotional outburst against MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh has come to the rescue saying he has nothing to do with the statements coming out in the media.
Yuvraj gave the clarification on twitter that he has enjoyed playing under Dhoni and there are no issues at all. The star left-handed batsman who was a key figure in India’s 2011 World Cup win said he is looking forward to meet Dhoni and congratulate him on becoming a father.
Yograj had blasted India’s ODI captain for his son’s exclusion from the ICC World Cup 2015 squad and had also cursed him to be left penniless one day.
“Dhoni was nothing. He has become a God in cricket just because of media. Media has crowned him as a great which he never deserved”, Yograj told a Hindi news channel.
Yuvraj’s father compared Dhoni with Ramayana’s mythological villain Ravana.”Dhoni is arrogant. The way Ravana’s proud came to an end, Dhoni will also suffer some day. He considers himself much above Ravana,” Yuvraj’s father said.
