Yunus Centre in Dhaka in a press release on Monday protested a news item about Professor Muhammad Yunus’ “participation” in a BNP demonstration in New York.
‘There are reports in some newspapers that Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus has “participated” in a BNP demonstration in New York. This is completely baseless and manufactured one, the press release said.
It said: Professor Yunus on September 27 was walking by a New York street
near the UN for going to one meeting from another. On the way he went through a crowd who were demonstrating. He continued his walk to reach the destination of the meeting place where an audience was waiting to hear from him.
