Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim urged the new generation to build themselves as worthy citizens of the country being imbued with ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Liberation War.
“The new generation should build themselves as the worthy citizens of the country imbued with the spirit of Bangabandhu and the great War of Liberation,” he said.
The minister made the call on Friday while addressing a picnic event of the Khulna Former Chhatra League Foundation.
He called upon the children to learn about the dynamic leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina because she (the premier) is currently leading the country with massive development spree. He added that the new generation should also learn about the atrocities committed by Pakistanis in 1971.
Recalling the historic March 7 speech, Rezaul said Bangabandhu declared the independence of the country on the day.
