State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak said youths of the country would be able to provide jobs to other people in the days to come as the government has undertaken various schemes so that they can be entrepreneurs.
“The government has allocated Taka 100 crore in the proposed budget of the 2019-20 fiscals for implementing various projects and assisting young people to start business,” he said this on Tuesday while addressing a seminar as the chief guest at the conference room of Start-up Project at ICT Tower in Agargoan area in the city.
Nasima Akhter Nisha, President of Women E-commerce, presided over the seminar titled ‘Women e-commerce can ensure the financial participation and empowerment of female in the country’.
Managing Director of Bangladesh High-Tech Authority Hosne Ara Begum and owner of Sumiya Tech Ripa Ara Jahan also addressed the seminar, among others. The state minister said the ICT division has under taken various projects including Start-up Bangladesh Limited Company with a view to proving the aspirant entrepreneurs with different facilities as well as building the country as digitised one.
He also urged non-government organisations to create women entrepreneurs across the country to reach the cherished goal of the country.
