Police recovered a throat-slit body of a young man from a maize field in Kajolkuri village of Boraid union in Saturia upazila on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Jasim Uddin, 30 a cable TV line operator and son of Khorshed Alam of the village.
Aminur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Saturia Police Station, said that being informed by the local people, police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Manikganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Quoting family sources, he said that Jasim went out from home at 10pm on Saturday and did not return.
Later, locals spotted Jasim’s body in the maize field in the morning and informed police.
Jasim might be killed as a sequel to previous enmity, added the OC.
A case was filed in this connection.
