Police recovered slaughtered body of a young man from a jute field at Kushkhali village in Satkhira upazila on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Alamgir, son of Moyna Gazi, a resident of the village.
Locals spotted the slaughtered body of Alamgir lying in the filed around 10am and informed police.
On information, police recovered the body from the spot.
Abu Raihan, chairman of Kushkhali union, said Alamgir had remained missing since Saturday night after he went out of the house for tarabi prayer.
Sheikh Emdad Sheikh, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station confirmed the incident.
The reason behind the murder could not be known immediately, added the OC.
