A spontaneous renaissance of the youths is being created rapidly now, like that during the War of Liberation in 1971, to eliminate militancy, terrorism and anarchy from the country permanently.
Presidium Member of the central committee of Bangladesh Awami Jubo League (AJL) Abul Basher said this at separate youth rallies organised against militancy, terrorism and anarchy by district and city units of AJL in Rangpur as the chief guest yesterday.
Convener of city AJL ABM Sirajum Munir Basher and Convener of the district AJL HM Rashedunnabi Jewel presided over the rallies at their office in the city at noon and in the afternoon respectively.
Organising Secretary of the central committee of AJL Emran Hossain Khan addressed the rallies as the main speaker.
Joint Secretary of the central committee of AJL Sohel Parvez and Acting President of district Awami League (AL) and Zila Parisahd Administrator Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed addressed the rallies as the special and invited guests respectively.
Joint Conveners of district AJL Mamunur Rashid, Sheikh Sadi, Laksmin Chandra Das, Kamruzzaman Shahin and Lutfe Ali Rony, Joint Conveners of city AJL Saiful Islam Raju, Harun Ar Rashid, Saiful Islam, Ashraful Islam and Murad Hossain also spoke.
Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed said the anti-liberation forces have been hatching conspiracies to destabilise the country when the nation has been marching towards development rapidly in the process of building a middle income Bangladesh.
“The common people irrespective of caste, creed and religion have rejected militancy, terrorism and anarchy and become united at the call of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to free the country from fundamentalist extremism,” he said.
In his speech, Abul Basher said the youths of this soil instantly jumped against the Pakistani occupation forces and created stiff resistance leaving the love for their own lives from the very begging of the War of Liberation in 1971.
“The youths, once again have become united now, at the call of the dreamer of digital Bangladesh visualisation and most successful Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, to free the country from militancy, terrorism and anarchy soon,” he said.
He called upon the youths to become more aware against militancy and remain alert for thwarting militancy, terrorism, anarchy, fundamentalist extremism, secret and targeted killings to establish permanent peace in the country.
