Police recovered the body of a young man from Chapaigachhi village in Kumarkhali upazila on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sabu, 20, son of Swapan Mandol, a resident of Jagannathpur village of the upazila.
Locals spotted the body in a banana orchard at the village around 10am and informed police, said Mohibul Sheikh, officer-in-charge of Kumarkhali police station.
On information, police recovered the body.
Sabu’s family members identified the body to be his.
There were several injury marks in the body, added the OC.
