Dead body of a youth named Bipu Mia (16) was recovered by the police from a char land of the river Madhumati at Char Astail area under Mollahat Upazila in Bagerhat district at Thursday night at about 10 pm, according a report received here. The dead body was sent to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
The deceased was the son of one Babul Mia of village Ramanikdah-Miabari area under Sadar Upazila in the adjacent Gopalganj district. He used to live like a vagabond and very often he used to leave his residence without giving any intimidation to others of the family and return home after living else where for 5 to days. The ill-fated youth was missing on December 03. On Thursday evening some locals found the dead body on a char land of the river Madhumati at at Char Astail area of Mollahat Upazila and informed the police of Mollahat PS of the matter.
Somen Das, Officer-in-charge of Mollahat PS told, on information the police recovered the dead body of Babul Mia from the area. It will be ascertained the cause behind his death after the receiving of his postmortem report.
