Youths are vulnerable to monkeypox: DMCH

A recent study of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) showed the youths more vulnerable to the monkeypox.
The researchers of the DMCH conducted the study collecting materials from different countries.
They said that the people who inoculated with chicken pox in childhood may be contaminated with the monkeypox because that jabs may not prevent of contamination of this disease.
The researchers said if any one touches a contaminated person, has to keep in quarantine for three weeks.
Professor Dr. Md. Titu Mia, the Principal of the DMCH said it during the revealing programme of the study at a auditorium of the medical college.  
The number of confirmed cases of monkeypox worldwide has reached 219, according to an update released by the European Union’s disease agency.
More than a dozen countries where monkeypox is unusual, mostly in Europe, have reported at least one confirmed case, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) said in an epidemiological note released on Wednesday night, reports AFP.
