Youth urged to become worthy citizens

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, MP, has urged youth to make themselves as worthy citizens by flourishing their latent talents for serving the countrymen.
He came up with the call while addressing a workshop styled “Carrier counseling and Effective CV writing” at Charghat Upazila Parishad Hall room in Rajshahi recently as the chief guest. Radio Boral hosted the programme.
Chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ashraful Islam, the workshop was addressed, among others, by Union Parishad Chairman Hasanuzzaman Madhu and local Awami League leaders Anwar Hossain, Fakhrul Islam and Ekramul Haque.
Attaining competency and efficiency is the precondition to get a better job, the state minister urged the unemployed youths to learn how to write a best CV and search job in both public and private sectors smartly.
He said the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly to transform the youths into worthy citizens through providing them with need-based training.
Shahriar said the youth forces should come forward towards attaining IT knowledge for becoming economically self-reliant. The present government is extending all-out supports to impart IT literacy to students.
He added that the government is implementing various programmes across the country to create opportunities for earning foreign currency through online outsourcing.
“Freelancing is an extremely prospective sector worldwide and now it is
getting popularity in our country,” said the state minister.
