Youth to build ‘Digital Bangladesh’

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak said 70 percent of the country’s youth will build a technology-based ‘Digital Bangladesh’.
“About 70 percent youth of the country will build a technology-based ‘Digital Bangladesh’…To this end, the present government has taken all effective steps,” he said.
The state minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at a function organized recently on Kalam High School premises on the occasion of the opening of Kalam Cricket Academy in Natore. All effective steps have been taken to build a digital Bangladesh based on modern technology, he said, adding that the driving force of technology dependent ‘Digital Bangladesh’ is 70 percent youth of the country.
At present, 4.5 crore students of the country are being trained in technology-based education, he said, adding: “These students with immense potential, will be the main driving force to build a digital Bangladesh in the days to come.”
Palak said Bangladesh is marching fast towards achieving the desired goal of a developed country under the dynamic leadership of people-friendly leader Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He added that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s grandson Sajeeb Wazed Joy is doing his level best in building Bangabandhu’s prosperous ‘Sonar Bangla’ through ‘Digital Bangladesh’.
With Kalam Cricket Academy President Shafiqul Islam Dulu in the chair, the programme was, also addressed, among others, by former Bangladesh national cricket team captain Khaled Masud Pilot, Singra Upazila Nirbahi Officer MM Samirul Islam, Assistant Deputy Tax Commissioner Golam Kibria and Kalam Union Parishad Chairman Moinul Haque Chunnu.
