A teenage boy was stabbed to death by a Rohingya young man over a trifling matter at Dail Para in Teknaf upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Sajal Kumar Sheel, 17, son of Sonadhan Sheel of the area.
Kabir Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station, said an altercation ensued among some young men over playing marble in the area around 6 pm.
At one stage, Abdus Shukkur, 24, son of Ilias, a Rohingya, stabbed Sajal indiscriminately, leaving him dead on the spot.
Police arrested Ilias in this connection as his son Shukkur managed to flee the scene.
