Abhaynagar police on Tuesday night recovered the body of a youth from a field at Rajapur village under Prembagh union.
The dead was identified as Kabir Hossain, 32, son of Nesar Ali Sarder of Bhojgati village under Monirampur upazila.
Sairuddin Ahmed, officer in-charge, Abhaynagar police station told that being informed by the locals the police recovered the body of the youth from the spot on Tuesday night. ‘The police also recovered a Honda motorbike and a mobile phone from the spot’, he added.
Locals and the police said the youth was slaughtered by a number of assailants at the terror-prone area.
But the reason of the killing could not be known. No case was filed. None was arrested.
