A young man was shot to death by miscreants at Bharatpur village in Atghoria upazila on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Salauddin Ahmed alias Bishal Khan,24, son of late KM Mehedi Hasan Khan of the village.
Sub-inspector of Atghoria Police Station Alamgir Hossain said a gang of miscreants entered the house of Bishal by breaking open the door while he was sleeping at about 8:30 am. The criminals opened fire on Bishal and hurriedly left the scene, leaving him dead on the spot.
