A youth was shot dead at Barandipara in Jessore town at around 6:30pm on Saturday.
The dead was identified as Sumon Biswas, 20, son of Hanif Biswas of Barandipara in Jessore town.
Shubha Biswas, brother of the dead told that his brother was declared dead at around 7pm by the attending doctor at Jessore General Hospital as he was rushed there after being shot by Palash, Liton, Rabbi and Sazol of the area. Ilias Hossain, officer in-charge, Kotwali police station confirmed the information.
