A gang of unidentified miscreants stabbed and shot at three brothers in front of the Aziz Super Market near Shahbagh on Thursday night. One of them, identified as Md Giasuddin Razu, 33, succumbed to his injuries in a city hospital at Hatirpool the following morning, police said.
Quoting the witnesses, Shahbagh Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sirajul Islam confirmed the matter and said that the miscreants stabbed and shot at Razu, Adnan Babu, 30, and Joynal Abedin, 38,
in front of the Aziz Super Market on Thursday night.
The locals took them to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH). But Razu was shifted to Briton Hospital at Hatirpool from the DMCH where he breathed his last Friday morning.
The police official said that body has been sent to the DMCH morgue for autopsy. He further said that the homicide happened over a financial feud.
He said that Joynal and Adnan are now under treatment at the DMCH.
