The Hamidur Rahman Youth Shooting Championship, organised by Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation, began at the Gulshan Shooting Sports Complex here on Thursday, aiming to create international standard shooters.
Captain of Bangladesh Test Cricket team Mushfiqur Rahim inaugurated the three-day meet named after renowned politician, social worker and close associate of Bangabandhu Hamidur Rahman. President of Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation Nazimuddin Chowdhury and general secretary Intiqabul Hamid were also present on the occasion. Some 120 promising shooters from 25 clubs are competing in the three-day competition.
