Youth receives bullet wounds in Jessore

A youth was wounded in a reported ‘gunfight’ between the police and ‘terrorist gang’ at the time of ‘selling guns’ on Tuesday night. The wounded Tariqul Islam, 32, son of Abdur Rashid of Bhekutia village under Kotwali police station was rushed to Jessore General Hospital with critical wounds. The police arrested another youth Tilok, son of Bashar Sayeed Khokon of New Town along with a 9mm pistol, a bullet, a magazine and 100 pieces of Yaba pills. Ilias Hossain, officer in-charge, Kotwali police station told that the youth received bullet wounds in a ‘gunfight’ between the police and ‘terrorist gang’ at the time of ‘selling guns’ at the residence of Motaleb Sarder at New Town under Kotwali police station on Tuesday night.
Assistant sub inspector Shahabur Rahman was wounded in biting during the operation, the OC added.
Abdullah -Al- Mamun, medical officer Jessore General Hospital told that wounded Tariqul received bullet wounds. He needs blood.
