A four-day workshop titled ‘Active Citizens Youth Leadership Training’ began on the campus on Friday morning.
Tarunno, a campus based voluntary organization, organized the training workshop in association with British Council and Democracy Watch Bangladesh.
The event was organized at the 2nd Science Building for the fifth time.
The training workshop will feature democracy, good governance, leadership quality development, fight against poverty and social action projects.
Professor Dr M Shahjahan Mondal, chief advisor of Tarunno, inaugurated the training workshop as the chief guest.
President of the organization Mominul Islam, Secretary Wahid Juberi Caesar and Treasurer Mosharraf Hossain Bappi were, among others, present in the inaugural function of the workshop.
A total of 36 students of 17 departments of the university are participating in the training.
The workshop will end on March 5.
