Youth leaders trained at Rowshan Ara Degree College

A four-day long ‘Active Citizen Youth Leaders Training’ was inaugurated at Sanarpar Rawshan Ara Degree College, at Siddirganj in Narayanganj on Monday. Hunger Project Bangladesh in cooperation with British Council organized the training.
Md. Harunur or-Rashid, Principal of the College inaugurated the training workshop while Farrukh Khosru, Assistant Editor of the Daily New Nation, Md. Golam Mostafa, Vice Principal of the College, Murshiqul Islam Shimul, Regional Coordinator of the Hunger Project Bangladesh were present as special guests.
About 32 participants from different universities and colleges attend the workshop.
Among them, 14 are female and 18 are male. In the last day of workshop, participants designed 2 social action projects to raising awareness among the community people.
In inaugurating the workshop, Principal Md. Harun or-Rashid said, self-development and leadership evolvement is the key to develop a nation. Youth is the proper time to develop leadership. I think, the participants are lucky enough to get such training in the due age.
Farruk Khosru in the welcome speech congratulated the young leaders who took part in the workshop and wished their best success for implementing training in real life situations.
He hoped that, the country would get proper future leadership through such trainings.
He expressed gratitude to the Principal of the College and its authority to provide venue and other supports to arrange the training.  
Md. Golam Mostafa said extracurricular is the effective tool to develop self-development. This training is out of your syllabus. Any type of training will help you to be skilled citizen. But we have lack initiatives of building skilled citizen. For this reason, this training is the most important for young leadership.
British Council is the donor organization to implement Active Citizen Youth Leaders Training. Md. Shamim Ahmed, Mausumi Haque and Zillur Rahman were the facilitators in the training.
