A woman was slaughtered allegedly by her son at Dhubil village of Salanga thana in Sirajganj district on Thursday.
The deceased is Zohura Begum, 55.
Locals held Zohura’s son Tutul, 25, as they saw a bloodstained sharp weapon in his hand around 2:30pm, said Salanga Police Station Officer-In-Charge Waheduzzaman.
Later, they found Zohura’s slaughtered body in their house.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital for autopsy and arrested Tutul.
A case was filed in this connection.
