UNB, Khulna :
A young man was killed allegedly by his co-players over playing carom at Pankhali village in Dakop uapzila on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Nazmul Sheikh, 24, son of Khanjahan Ali Sheikh of the village.
Witnesses said Nazmul had an altercation with his co-players Mahbub Sheikh, 22, son of Ali Akbar over playing carom around 7 pm.
At one stage, Mahbub allegedly hit Nazmul with a brick, leaving him unconscious.
Later Nazmul was taken to Dakop Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
Mahbub went into hiding after the incident.
A case was filed.
