A youth was killed after a covered van ran over him in Majhirghat area under city’s Sadarghat thana on Saturday night.
The victim was identified as Shahed Mallik, 26, an employee of ‘4H Group’.
Police outpost sources at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) said Shahed was critically injured after a covered van ran over him in Majhirghat area while he was crossing the road around 9.30pm.
He was rushed to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctors declared him dead, the sources said.
