A youth was killed by unidentified persons in Dhaka’s Shah Ali area on early Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Munna (19), a resident of Narail Sadar upazila, who came to Dhaka to visit his friend Rahmat, said Sub-inspector Matiur Rahman of Shah Ali Police Station.
Police said the body was found near the DESCO office in Mirpur-1. On information from locals, police rushed to the spot around 6:00am and sent the body to Shaheed Suhrawardi Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
“We are trying to collect CCTV footage of the nearby areas to learn details,” the SI said.
Morgue sources said the body bore injury marks.
