A youth was found lying dead at Ekrampur mor of Sutrapur in Dhaka city on Wednesday night. He has been identified as Nazimuddin, 28. Sources said that ASI Awal of Sutrapur thana was going to Luxmipur Bazar after doing his official duty at night. On the way, he found a youth lying on the road. He aided by the local people took him to the Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital where he on-duty physicians declared him dead.
The local people told the ASI that the criminals killed the youth in a public place of Sutrapur at about 9 pm. The crime gang shot at him first and thereafter stabbed him to death. Officer-in-charge Tapan Kumar said, police recovered the body. The shops in the area of the incident were found closed at that time.
