A young man was injured as miscreants opened fire at him in Laxmichhari upazila headquarters on Tuesday morning.
The injured, Arpan Chakma, 28, is believed to be a member of United People’s Democratic Front (UPDF, Democratic).
Arpan Chakma claimed that UPDF terrorists opened fire on him around 10am when he along with his three friends was passing by Laxmichhari Hospital in two motorcycles.
Although the attackers shot 6-7 bullets at him, he escaped the attack with minor injuries.
He was taken to Laxmichhari Hospital for treatment.
Officer-in-charge of Laxmichhari Police Station Abdul Jabbar said they visited the spot and recovered two motorcycles and three empty magazines from there.
