A video of an inhuman incident went viral in social media where a young man was hung upside down and brutally beaten by some men for alleged stealing.
The video was found at the facebook post of one Adnan Rahman on Saturday evening.
According to the facebook post, “The youth was tortured by some locals in front of Akbarpur Union Parishad in Patnitala upazila of Naogaon district. It is unaccepted that some lawless men would beat up a man this way.”
The video contains graphic details of this barbaric incident. When contacted, Akbarpur Union Parishad chairman Kamal Hossain was unavailable. Quoting local village police, Patnitala police station inspector (probe) Zahurul Huq said he heard that the youth was normally roughed up for stealing money. However, police have no information on the torture incident. The matter is being investigated.
