A youth was arrested with weapons and ammunition in a RAB-14 operation in Mymensingh on Wednesday. RAB arrested him from Digharkanda in the city.
According to RAB-14 sources, a team led by company commander Major Fazle Rabbi on Tuesday night raided the Digharkanda area of the city and arrested the allegedly terrorist youth Moniruzzaman Adha.
A home-made pipe gun, two rounds of ammunition, a knife and a mobile phone were recovered from him. The arrested Moniruzzaman is the son of Hossain Ali of Dapunia Kasaibari area of Mymensingh district. RAB has filed a case with Kotwali Model Police Station.
There are several cases against Moniruzzaman including extortion, kidnapping and terrorism, sources said.
