Members of Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a youth along with seven local gun and five Cartridges from Bainnachchora area in Chakoria upazila here on Monday afternoon.
The arrestee is identified as Mainuddin, 32, son of Abdur Shukkur of Boro Moheshkhali union in Moheshkhali upazila.
Sources said police arrested him from a salt laden truck in the area around 1:00pm.
Dewan Abul Hossain, officer-in-charge of Cox’s Bazar DB police, said a case will be filed against Mainuddin under Arms Act.
