Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested an alleged drug peddler along with three foreign pistols and Phensidyl syrup from Chandrapur Bazar in Kaliganj upazila on Saturday night.
The arrestee was identified as Khar-e-Jamal, 30, son of Taslim Uddin of Chandrapur village in the upazila.
RAB-13 ASP Motaher Hossain said they conducted a drive in the area around 11:30pm and arrested Khar-e-Jamal along with the pistols and 100 bottles of contraband Phensidyl syrup.
He was wanted in several drug cases filed with Kaliganj Police Station, said its officer-in-charge Arju Mohammad Sajjad.
