A young man was hacked to death at Khasaripara in Beanibazar upazila of the district over familial dispute on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Alam Hossian, 25, driver of CNG-run auto-rickshaw and son of late Sultan Ahmed of the area.
Local ward councilor Misbah Uddin said following a familial dispute, Alam’s cousins allegedly swooped on him in a planned way and hacked him randomly in the area around 4pm, leaving him dead on the spot.
