A man has been hacked to death in Chittagong. The victim is 26-year-old Foysal Islam Bagha, a resident of the Bihari colony of Halishohor neighbourhood, said Halishohor police OC Pranab Chowdhury.
Police recovered his body from Halishohor B block of the port city on Sunday night.
Two local youths ‘Jewel’ and ‘Alauddin’ were arrested for suspected involvement with the murder.
“Foysal and four local youths were engaged in an altercation at a wedding party on Saturday night,” said the OC. He suspected that the youths hacked Foysal with sharp weapons the next day.
Police raided the neighbourhood following a case lodged by Foysal’s father and arrested the two.
