Chittagong girls’ secure bronze in football

The girls of Chittagong Division finished third position to secure bronze in the football event of inaugural Youth Games beating Khulna Division by 6-0 goals in the third-place deciding match held
on Tuesday at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur.
In the day’s match, Champa slammed a brilliant hat-trick with four goals while Cushau Marma and Thuimaching netted one goal each for Chittagong.
On the other hand, Rangur Division won bronze medal when they blanked Dhaka Division by 3-0 goals in the boys’ section third place-deciding match also held at the same venue.
In the day’s match, Jonny scored a brace while Apon netted the other one goal for the winners.
Meanwhile, both the finals of girls’ and boys’ sections will be held today (Wednesday) at the same venue.
Dhaka, Khulna move to women’s hockey final

Dhaka Division and Khulna Division advanced to the final of the Bangladesh Youth Games eliminating their respective rivals in the semi-finals held on Tuesday at Moulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium.
In the day’s first semi-final, Khulna Division blanked Rajshahi Division by 4-0 goals after leading the first half by 1-0 goals while Dhaka booked their final spot by beating Rangpur Division by 3-2 goals after dominating the first half by 2-1 goals in the second semis.
Meanwhile, in the boys section, Rangpur and Rajshahi Division secured their place in the final of the meet held at the same venue.
Rangpur Division beat Dhaka Division by 2-1 goals after the first half was locked goalless in the first semi-final while Rajshahi Division ensured their final berth drubbing Chittagong Division by 5-0 goals in the second semis.
