Police recovered the body of a young man from a river in Nayabil Bazar area of Nalitabari upazila on Friday afternoon.
The deceased, aged around 25-26, could not be identified yet, said officer-in-charge of Nalitabari Police Station Fasihur Rahman.
Locals saw the body floating in the Bhogai River and informed police who later recovered it, he said.
The body might have been washed away from India as the victim is a Garo youth, the OC said.
