Police recovered the body of an unidentified youth in Shikarpur village in Kashobpur upazila of Jashore district on Sunday early.
On information from locals, law enforcers recovered the body in Shikarpur village river on 3.00 am and sent it to jashore Medical College for autopsy, said Md. Shaheen, officer-in-charge of Kashobpur Police Station.
Police, after primary investigation, suspect the victim may have been killed by suffocation as his mouth was found tied with a cloth, the OC said.
A case was filed with Kashobpur Police Station in this regard.
