A youth was electrocuted in Shakpura Daruc-hunnat Senior Madrassa area under Boalkhali upazila of the district on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Ariful Islam, 22, son of Amir Hossain, a resident of Joldi area under Banskhali upazila of the district. Saleh Uddin Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Boalkhali thana, said Ariful was electrocuted while working at an under-construction building in the area at noon.
