A youth was electrocuted in cement crossing area under CEPZ thana in the port city at 11 am yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Sujit Barua, 27, a worker of Graffiti Advertisement Firm Limited in the city and hailed from Laksham upazila of Comilla district.
Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), police outpost said Sujit was electrocuted while repairing a billboard in the area at 11 am yesterday.
Locals brought Sujit to CMCH, where the attending doctors declared him dead.
