A youth named Ashraful Alam (30) drowned during fishing recently.
To save him another youth named Zahirul Islam (28) became seriously ill . This incident happened at Dhupaghat village of Rawna Union under Gafargaon Upazila.
According to the sources, youth of Dhupaghat village went out from home to catch fish in Chhatrai Beel on Friday 1-45 am. Later, on the way to Chhatrai bill, they swam in the Shila river and Ashraful drowned in the river
.During that hours a neighbour named Zahirul came to save Ashraful and he became serious ill and became senseless.
Khairul Islam Deputy Inspector of Gafargaon Thana confirmed the issue and said, 4 friends went out to catch fish and Ashraful drowned in the river. Later, they took up the dead body of Ashraful.
