A young man died and another person was injured after falling from the rooftop of a running train at Fatemanagar in Trishal upazila on Wednesday night.
Identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Officer-in-charge of Trishal GRP (Government Railway Police) thana Ahad Ali Khan said the accident took place in the area when two unidentified young men fell off from the rooftop of Jamalpur-bound train from Dhaka at about 9:00 pm.
The injured was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
The body was sent to the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
