A young man was killed after falling from the roof of a running train at the North Outer Signal of Fulbari rail station under Fulabri upazila in Dinajpur district today, police and local sources said.
The deceased was identified as Mahbubur Rahman, 35, son of Matiur Rahman of College Para area in Rangpur district.
Mahbub was critically injured when his two legs were cut off under the wheels after he fell down from atop of the roof of the Syedpur- bound Intercity Shimanto Express train from Khulna this noon. Local people immediately rushed him to Fulabri Upazila Health Complex where he succumbed to his injuries around 5 pm.
Officer-in-Charge of Fulabri police station ABM Rezaul Islam confirmed the incident.
