A young man was killed as he was crushed under the wheels of a speeding train at Rohanpur in Gomostapur upazila on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Rabiul Islam, 30, son of M Sanu, hailing from KTC Para of Rohanpur.
Locals said a Rajshahi-bound train hit Rabiul at Rohanpur College intersection while he was crossing the rail tracks around 8.00am, leaving him dead on the spot.
Officer-in-charge of Gomostapur Police Station Firoz Ahmed confirmed the incident.
