Youth convicted for occupying govt land at Bhangura

There are allegations of digging pond in the village at Sultanpur in Khanmorich Union under Bhangura upazila in Pabna district, illegally occupying six acres of vested property belonging to the government.
 For this reason Mostafizur Rahman was penalized for three months jail on Tuesday by the mobile court. He is the son of Rawshon Ali of the village. Mahfuza Sultana ,Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Bhangura Upazila conducted the court.
 It was told that a powerful person named Rawshon Ali of the village used to cultivate paddy in the land. Without planting rice this year, the soil was cut to dig the pond with the Veku Machine. He sold the soil of the land at five hundred taka per truck. Mosharraf Hossain and Golam Mustafa of Sultanpur village have alleged that from here the soil of ten lakh taka have been sold till the report .
