A youth early Saturday committed suicide in the capital’s Jatrabari as his girlfriend got married with other person.
The deceased was identified as Mohiuddin Bakul, hailed from Debhata upazila of Satkhira, graduation final year student of Dhaka College.
Mohiuddin posted a status on Facebook on Friday late night that he had embraced to death as his girlfriend left him and got married other person.
Deceased’s elder brother Manir Uddin said, “My friend Amirul Islam made phone call to me after he had seen his (Mohiuddin) FB status as suicidal note. Then he was found hanging with ceiling fan.”
Ruhul Amin, duty officer of Jatrabari Police Station, confirmed the incident.
