A youth was allegedly chopped to death by his nrelatives at Noapara village under Lohagara upazila of the district early on Wednesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Saddam Sheikh, 25, son of Haru Sheikh of the same area.
Police said a clash broke out between Tulu Sheikh and his cousin Haru Sheikh centering over catching fish of a local beel in the area.
At one stage of the clash family members of Tuku Sheikh chopped Saddam, son of Haru Sheikh, leaving him critically injured.
He was sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries.
Ten people of both families were injured in the incident.
Police arrested a man in this connection.
Officer-in-Charge of Lohagara Thana Sheikh Lutfar Rahman confirmed the incident.
