UNB, Dhaka :
A 21-year-old man was charred to death in a fire that broke out at Kaptan Bazar in the capital’s Gulistan area in the early hours of Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Yeasin.
Deputy assistant director (media cell) of the Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters, Shahjahan Sikder said the fire broke out at a shop around 4.45 am and soon engulfed adjoining kiosks in the bazar.
Some 12 fire tenders took over three hours to douse the flames around 8am.
Later, the firemen recovered the charred body of Yeasin from a shop, said Dewan Azad, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense Control room.
