Police have recovered the body of a young man from Gadkhali Beltala area on Benapole-Jashore road early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Pier Ali Akash 21 son of Abdul Motaleb of Mahmudkati village in Manirampur upazila. He is a day laborer by profession. The deceased had two wounds and multiple wound spots on his body.
Relatives claim that Pierre Hossain was called from home and later killed. The victim’s father, Abdul Motaleb, said, “On Friday morning, Pierre Ali left the house saying that he was going to his elder sister Fatema Khatun’s house in Kagazpukur of Sharsha upazila. Then at around 2 am I got the news of his death through Jhikargachha police. Later I went to the spot and saw my son’s body lying there”.
He complained that Piere had called from home and taken to different places on the day. He was killed later that night.
Jhikargachha Police Station OC Abdur Razzak said, we recovered the body of the young man on Saturday early. It is believed that the miscreants left the body after the murder.
Because the youth was a resident of another upazila. There is no reason for him to come to this area late at night. The body was sent to the morgue of Jashore General Hospital on Saturday morning for autopsy. A case was filed in this Connection.
