Chittagong Metropolitan police apprehended a youth along with fake currency note s of Tk.7 000 from Halishahar thana area in city on Sunday.
The youth identified as Kamrul Hossain)24) and detained at Barapol area of Halishahar thana. He was caught red handed by police while ongoing altercation with the CNG taxt driver over the taxi fare.Kamrul paid taxi fare by offering a fake currency note but the driver did not accept the note and following the altercation of the note between the passenger and driver, on duty patrol police incepted the matter and finally proved that the note is fake.
After searching his body, police recovered fake of tk.7000 of tk. 500 each from his possession.
