Listeners’ choice two popular singers Rumana Islam and Yousuf Ahmed Khan earlier performed together in several numbers of television shows. To mark the 50 years of independence of Bangladesh and Bangabandhu’s birth centenary, Desh TV has organised special live musical show, Priyojoner Gaan, round the month of Victory, December. The TV channel will air the special live musical show on December 17 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm where Ruman Islam and Yousuf Ahmed Khan will perform. To be anchored by Tasnuva Mohona, Rumana and Yousuf will also take part in open discussion besides rendering songs in the programme. Both Rumana
and Yousuf confirmed the matter on Tuesday.
While talking about to perform in the live musical show on Desh TV on the occasion of Victory Day, singer Rumana Islam said, “Earlier Yousuf performed with me in some live shows in different TV channels. He renders song well. This is the month of Victory, so I will render patriotic songs in the programme besides my original tracks. I hope viewers will remain with us during the show. I believe it will become a nice musical
programme.” Yousuf Ahmed Khan shared his feelings in this regard, “Respected Rumana Apa’s family is a historic family of the country. She is daughter of respected Khan Ataur Rahman. Rumana Apa loves me a lot like her younger brother. Along with her I will render some patriotic and modern songs in the live programme – it will be a great luck for me. I hope viewers will enjoy the show.” Rumana also said that under Yousuf Ahmed Khan’s musical arrangement and Ovi Moinuddin
composition, she rendered a song titled Anurodh Korini Tomai. This song will be released next year in a YouTube channel. On December 11, Rumana performed in a stage show in Dhaka.
Meanwhile, Yousuf has already prepared some of his original tracks. After making music videos of these songs
he plans to release these on his own YouTube channel,
